Chocolate Salami always reminds me of my childhood. My sisters used to make it for us and then when I was in high school, I loved making it. You can’t ever go wrong with a chocolate salami. They are so unique and beautiful that bringing them to a party would always be a hit. Wrapping them in a brown parchment paper and tying it with some butcher twine makes this homemade treat an awesome gift.

Can I make this chocolate salami ahead?

Yes! This is a great option to make ahead of time and have on hand for when an unexpected guest pops in. You can keep it in  an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks (if it will stay there that long). You can also have it wrapped in plastic and parchment paper to keep in the freezer for up to 1 month. I prefer to eat the salami straight out of the freezer. If the unexpected guests comes by, taking the chocolate salami out of the freezer, you would be able to slice it and serve it pretty much instantly.
