Tools needed:
Ingredients:
- Homemade sourdough bread
- Thinly sliced steak
- Provolone cheese
- Onion
- Garlic
- Mayo
- Salt, pepper
- Dill (optional)
How to make Sourdough Philly Sandwich:
- Make sourdough bread! Slice the bread.
- Fry a steak and thinly slice it. You can also buy thinly sliced beef and fry that in oil with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, sauté onion until it turns caramelized. Slightly salt the onions.
- In a separate bowl make the dressing by combining mayo, garlic, dill. Mix well.
- On each sourdough bread slice, spread about a tsp of the dressing on both sides (only the insides).
- Add cheese, steaks, onion.
- Close the sandwich and bake or skillet fry on each side until golden.
- Serve hot.
