Korean BBQ Ground BeefI love having ground beef on hand for those nights when I need a super quick meal. I prefer to feed this to my family vs heating up a frozen pizza. It only takes 30 minutes to have a DELICIOUS meal on the table.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (I love using our local grass fed beef because the flavor is just amazing!)
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • splash of rice vinegar
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat 3 tbsp sesame oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and stir until most of the beef has been cooked.
  3. Add pressed garlic and grated fresh ginger.
  4. Keep frying the beef with the garlic and ginger until beef is fully cooked about 6-8 mins.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sriracha, and a splash of rice vinegar. Mix together to create a marinade.
  6. Add the marinade to the ground beef in the frying pan.
  7. Simmer for about 5 mins until the sauce becomes glossy.
  8. Serve the Korean BBQ Ground Beef over hot rice or wrapped in a lettuce leave.
  9. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  10. Enjoy your homemade Korean BBQ ground beef!
